  • We will write over carriers that have an AM Best rating of A- VI or better.
  • All umbrella and excess business is quoted and issued by the company.
  • Excess/Umbrella policy limits range from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
  • Minimum attachment points:
    • Auto - $1,000,000 CSL
    • General Liability - $1,000,000/$2,000,000 Aggregate
    • Excess Liability - $500,000/$500,000/$500,000
    • Garage - $1,000,000/$1,000,000/$2,000,000
    • Liquor - $1,000,000/$1,000,000

Transportation Classes

  • Contractor's vehicles
  • Gasoline/fuel oil haulers (up to 300 miles)

  • Pickups with a fifth wheel (rated as tractor/trailers)
  • Truckers – Local, Intermediate and Long Haul - Acceptable commodities include but not limited to: building materials, containers, dry goods, livestock, machinery parts and equipment, produce, refrigerated goods and gas/fuel/oil
  • Note: Dump trucks and end & side dump trailers including: dirt, sand, gravel, rock, coal and other aggregates are limited To $2,000,000 maximum limit and special minimums apply.

Excess General Liability for Artisan and General Contractors

Artisan/Service Contractors:
Non CD States: We can consider contractors engaged in building, construction, and maintenance and service trades. Excluding risks with exposures in AZ, CA, CO, NV or SC
We will not consider contractors doing "NEW" residential construction of townhomes, condominiums, or tracts of single family homes in a large piece or parcel of land which has been subdivided into 25 or more lots, tractors, parcels or other divisions of land for freestanding one, two, three or four family dwellings.
CD States: In the states of AZ, CA, CO, NV small artisan contractors performing "commercial" building construction, maintenance and service trades are acceptable. No residential. Contractors in the state of SC are not written.
